Artfinder is launching today a new app for Facebook Timeline that will allow you to share works of art with friends. For those of you who love discovering new art and learning about the art you’re passionate about, this new app enables you to add artworks to your Facebook Timeline, share discoveries with your friends, and look back at the artworks you’ve collected over time. Now you can tell the world that you’ve got a thing for Turner and a bit of a soft spot for Seurat!
When you collect artwork on Artfinder.com the piece will appear on your Facebook Timeline, allowing friends and family to click through to the Artfinder site to read more about the artwork, learn about the artist, and discover similar artworks and related exhibitions.

When you collect an artwork on Artfinder.com this will be shared with your friends on Facebook Timeline
And the good news doesn’t stop there; if you download our iPhone app, Artfinder for iPhone, you can enter your favourite gallery or museum, take a picture of a piece and have it automatically identified. These snapped artworks can also be shared on your Facebook Timeline, allowing you to share what you’ve seen with friends.

“We’re excited that people are now able to share their favourite art alongside their favourite books, movies and music on Facebook. In particular we’re delighted that people will be able to snap what they see in a gallery using our iPhone app, have the artwork identified and then share it with their friends on their Timeline,” said Spencer Hyman, CEO and Founder, Artfinder.
The new Artfinder app for Facebook Timeline makes art even more social in nature, by allowing you to share your passion with friends and encouraging them to interact with it.
Artfinder for iPhone can be downloaded for free here.

Why?I can access the admin area just fine on my iPod aaelrdy, and when I do so I have access to all the admin functions. I can set up users, write posts edit posts (a function that’s conspicuously absent from the app), edit pages that have aaelrdy been created (I’m told that’s not possible on the app), use plugins like the All-In-One SEO plugin, etc. What’s the purpose of this app?
Hi there – which app are you referring to exactly? The Facebook Timeline app for Artfinder, or Artfinder’s own iPhone app?
