Explore the CASS Sculpture Foundation with our three new (and free!) iPad Apps!

We are proud to announce the release of three new apps in partnership with the Cass Sculpture Foundation. Thankfully art lovers don’t have to wait any longer for these Apps as they are now available to download for free from the iTunes store.

The three Apps celebrate their successful collections Biomorphia, Breaking the Mould and Breaking the Mould 2.

Here at Artfinder we’re excited to bring you these apps that let you enjoy each exhibition many times over, and the Apps allow you to explore some of the key works from each collection.

We’re all about increasing the availability of art and not to mention allowing you to uncover the Foundation’s work with great contemporary British sculpture. The Apps represent a new shift for art appreciation and accessibility, putting collections and exhibitions directly into the hands of art fans.

“The experience of viewing and browsing through these beautiful, pin-sharp images of our monumental works on an iPad is hugely enjoyable. We hope that these apps will bring 21st Century British Sculpture to an even wider global audience,” said Cass Sculpture Foundation co-founder, Wilfred Cass.

The Apps

Biomorphia showcases 8 works by celebrated sculptor Eilís O’Connell, whose work explores themes such as nature, geometry, memory and history. Now you are able to instantly explore O’Connell’s work from all over the world, as well as being to share your favourite pieces of the collection to your own facebook page.

Breaking the Mould and Breaking the Mould 2 allows users to explore some of the key works either commissioned or on display at the Foundation during 2010. The Apps feature works by Tony Cragg, Eduardo Paolozzi, Bill Woodrow and other eminent artists associated with the Foundation.

You can now experience a handful of the 400 works commissioned by Cass in the past 20 years, as well as some of their ever-changing on-site display.

Although the Apps are currently only available for iPads, you don’t need to feel left out if you don’t have access to one. If you still love contemporary British sculpture as much as we do, you can still enjoy the works as we have them all on our website. Check them out here on our Cass Sculpture Foundation page.
